Christian is an internist with a Master’s in Medical Education. The main aim of his work has been to find a structured way to promote students’ active participation in healthcare. He is clinically active as a hospitalist. Together with two friends, he founded and directs the Integrated Curriculum for Anthroposophic Medicine at Witten Herdecke University.

Christian established the first Clinical Education Ward in Germany. He was surprised to learn that patients perceived students as a tremendous support for comprehensive and patient-centered care.
